Sometimes there are movie titles that just don't make sense regarding the context of the film or just in general. Or they are just plain wrong. Thus-
Film Title- Ballistic: Ecks Vs Sever (2002)
Why It Makes No Sense- The title conjures up an image of of a battle between two warriors and it will be epic. Or 'ballistic' as the case is here. Except, the two titles characters, an assassin and an agent of the FBI actually team up about halfway through. So the title is just as shit as the film.
Film Title- Abbott and Costello Go To Mars (1953)
Why It Makes No Sense- They don't, they go to Venus.....
Film Title- I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998)
Why It Makes No Sense- The events in this film actually occur two years after those referenced to in the title.
Film Title: Rambo III (1988)
Why It Makes No Sense- The series starts with First Blood, then there's Rambo: First Blood Part 2, which is fine. Then, though, there is Rambo III, which should actually be called First Blood part 3 or Rambo II. To make things more confusing, the fourth film in the series, made twenty years later is called just....Rambo. Stupid.
Film Title- Assault On Precinct 13 (1976)
Why It Makes No Sense- Well, the assault isn't on Precinct 13 for a start, it's actually on Precinct 9, Division 13. At least the (inferior yet not entirely awful) 2005 remake sets the film in the correct place.
Film Title- Leonard Part 6 (1987)
Why It Makes No Sense- Ok, I know it's a jokey title and the whole point of it is that there are no Leonard Parts 1-5 but aren't jokes supposed to be, you know, funny? At least Ghost Dad made sense as a title.
Film Title- True Lies (1994)
Why It Makes No Sense- How can lies, which are the exact opposite of the truth, actually be true?
Film Title- Honey, I Blew Up The Kid (1992)
Why It Makes No Sense- Not one single child explodes in this film.
